RFID, also known as Radio Frequency Identification is now a well used technology. It uses radio frequency to identify and track down. It was Walmart that was the first to use it and then other companies like Aberocrombie & Fitch, Levis and Kleenex have experimented with this technology for inventory tracking. Not only the market place, but RFID are also being used in household works to tag lost appliances and clothes. This way, this technology is getting more involved with our lives.

One of the most important aspect of RFID uses can be seen in passports, ID cards, credit cards and travel cards. This has reduced the chance of terrorists getting away free. This is good news specially when these technologies can be produced in sizes as smaller as sand grain. Another aspect of its popularity is that it is produced cheap and can be produced in massive scale. Since, it can be produced small, it can be fit in any product as simple as packet of biscuit or a pair of underpants One of the application is that, it can be incorporated into a cheap device which can be put in a trash-can or recycle box.
